Has anyone got any ideas on how to convert a fire warrior into a fireblade? Have just started 40k and think he could be a cool guy to make, i am just stuck for ideas right now!

Why don't you want the official Fireblade? It 's a really great miniature.

True, I just would rather not spend £9.50 on him and instead put that money towards a hammerhead or something, as my army is just the battleforce with another FW squad.

And I guess I just want to try an easy(?) conversion to start with...

I converted my fire blade out of a standard fire warrior, green stuff a few armour plates round the waste, cloth ropes ect and modding bitz into custom shoulder armour and a back pack ill up load a pick in a sec.
He's far from perfect but my friend gave me a few broken FW so I couldn't help but convert the couple of extra ones into characters. I hate to waste stuff, and modelling is the funniest part if WH. I also made a darkstrider out of the tank sprure pilot you get with all the vehicles as he has less armour and cool cables so with funky camera and eye piece, he fits right in.
