Seems like my grey knight list has some holes in it and cannot deal with tanks or imperial knights. What are some ways (besides vindicare I already have him) that we can deal with tanks. Are there good alliances to help fill this hole?

Deep striking behind armor and vindicare are my two optionsand not entirely reliable from scatter and vindicare dying after one shot. Jokearo are too expensive for a low ballistic skill.

The problem here is that we have no idea how allies will change in a few weeks time.

For now...stick to dreadknights!

The Twilight Zone

What about a crusader with psybolt and a multi melta, or a stormraven with TLMM, assault cannon, psybolt and hurricane bolters. Both cost about the same, have basically the same weapons, and are durable. The raven has the TL melta, can reliably hunt fliers, and has anti psyker missiles to boot.

Psycannons. Lots of Psycannons. Followed by some Hammer Time.

Here's an awesome way to stop an Imperial Knight from charging: Sanctuary. Until it's fixed, IKs cannot move more than 6" through difficult terrain.

I would avoid allies for now as the allies matrix is said to change in 7th.

In the GK list here are some of the best anti tank options;
-Vindicare assassin in bastion or firestorm redoubt (I know, you have this already but it is great!)
-MM on your crusaders and stormravens are excellent sources of anti tank and can even be PotMS
-Psyriffle dreads are pretty good anti tank. Their aegis ability is also excellent. They become reasonably tough on a skyshield landing pad or behind a wall.
-Psy ammo assault cannons and psycannons are both pretty good but you either need a large number of them or tank hunter to make them reliable.
-Assault should be mentioned as nemesis hammers with hammer hand are very good anti tank.
-henchmen with meltaguns are not bad and made a great deal better with prescience. Additionally servitors with MM are also pretty decent. They are however a defensive measure but if you scout the unit in a chimera up to mid field then you will be "defending" most of the board. Monkeys also help with their lascannons.
-Dreadknights in melee are pretty good at killing vehicles. On the charge with rerolls you are likely to explode AV13 and put ~3 HP on it (that is an average of ~5 HP against an Imperial Knight)
-Orbital Relays are excellent against imperial knights. The scatter doesn't matter as much as it is very hard to miss the large base and lance at that strength hurts.

If it is Imperial Knights specifically that are troubling you one of the big things is you need to fire at it from two different angles. Try to get some melta or psycannons to the side arc and an orbital relay in the front arc. This will make it so only one set of shots has to face the shield. Also the quickest way to kill an imperial knight is in melee. Melta bombs in units of 5+ are the bane of IKs. If you strip an HP or two from it you can usually finish it with a dreadknight. Also try to kill it in your opponent's formation as the blast scatters quite a bit.

yeah, at a tournament this weekend i played a Guard Tank spam list, mostly leman russ and chimeras and didnt have much to deal with it in my list. in the next game i played guard again with tanks and a knight and again didnt have much for it. vindicare got wiped on both games turn1. seems to do that
i have only been playing for about a month so still learning tactics.

definately will add some of those into my list!

If we are talking leman russ' remember that the best way to kill a leman russ is from the rear or in melee.

When talking about imperial knights much of the fight is getting two firing angles or getting the melee you want where you want so the death blast hits their important stuff and not yours.

A single vindicare will struggle to survive when it is such a high priority. I highly recommend the sormraven as it is good against practically everything and is essentially invulnerable against the knight and hard to deal with against leman russ'.

If your opponents are forming AV14 parking lots then the orbital relay placed in the center is a brutal way to deal with it. Also their infantry version is great against AM infantry lists as they have such large footprints.

Dreadknights are also good on a number of levels against AM as their incinerator can help clear the infantry to get at the juicy tanks within.
