Im back to thinking of playing another Era of Historicals,This time NApleonics. i am wanting to play them in either 20mm or 15 mm.Which will be the cheapest of the scales.Here is my question how does the basing work. I would like something around the lines of FOW where is will be roughly 5 per base.
Another thing is i want a quickflowinggame that is not to bogged down by the rules, maybe a point system,but i can get past that as we will guestimate the Armies for playing.
tanks for any replies

I haven't played Lasalle. My own Napoleonic poison of choice is Napoleon's Battles, which is a set of rules that was originally published by Avalon Hill. It's currently out of print, but the fourth edition is being released by Capitan Games, and should be out later this year. It's designed for 15mm figures, and sounds like it might fit the general bill of what you're looking for.

I've read the Lasalle rules and they look interesting but if you're really looking for the feel of FOW:Napoleonics take a look at Napoleon at War. I've read some good reviews and AARs of the game that make it look good but haven't gotten my hands on a rulebook yet.

Lasalle is by far the best Naps game I have played, though I really enjoy all the authors games as he has a unique philosophy of game design that appeals to me.

You can use any basing style you wish really and it hasbags of period feel, rather just being Warhammer Naps.

Best place for info is the authors forum;

I've heard good things about Lasalle but haven't had the chance to play any Napoleonics. I just slowly build up my two armies in the hope that someday I might force someone to play with me! Probably will be Black Powder as I have the rules and my two units are vaguely based for it.
