Subject: Need help with my list's fluff. Empire nuln list

I love the fluff of the cult of morr and I want to build some units from the black guard but I do NOT want to build a whole army of black guard. So I have 3 units I plan to convert as black guard, my witch hunter as a captain of the black guard, inner circle knights as knights of the black guard, and archers as rangers of the black guard. The rest of the army will be a nuln theme except my wizards. The fluff I have in mind for this army(including the display board I plan to build) is that the captain of the black guard is going to the temple of Morr located outside the blood keep southwest of Nuln. Due to its proximity to the blood keep, a known former vampire stronghold, he enlists a local garrison to accompany him and to secure the temple site while he and his black guard clear the temple of any undead that may be there and to perform rites of Morr. The wizards of the light order are being sent along as a strong defense against the magic of the undead as light wizards fight the undead as much as the black guard. Competitively with this list I think fire may be better lore to spam but im going with light.
I know the list is at least semi competitive but is it fluffy enough to fit that theme? The black guard are known to use local garrisons when they need more force as well as help from wizards in the light order. Would a witch hunter be the best representation of a captain of the black guard? I know the college of death is located in nuln but the black guard distrust the college of death as they work too closely to necromancy. Fluff wise what should I do with the remaining 25 points?
+ Lords + (245pts)
* Battle Wizard Lord (245pts)
Lore of Light, Wizard Level 4 (35pts)
* Magic Items (45pts)
BRB - Talisman of Preservation (45pts)
+ Heroes + (481pts)
* Battle Wizard (90pts) acolyte of the wizard lord, which is very fluffy
Lore of Light, Wizard Level 1
* Magic Items (25pts)
BRB - Dispel Scroll (25pts)
* Battle Wizard (65pts) acolyte of the wizard lord, which is very fluffy
Lore of Light, Wizard Level 1
* Captain of the Empire (121pts) Local garrison captain
(Hold the Line! (AB-32))
Battle Standard Bearer (25pts), Full Plate Armour (6pts)
* Magic Items (30pts)
BRB - Dawnstone (25pts), BRB - Enchanted Shield (5pts)
* Master Engineer (65pts) lieutenant of the garrison
('Stand Back, Sir!' (AB-35), Master of Ballistics (AB-35))
* Master Engineer (65pts) lieutenant of the garrison
('Stand Back, Sir!' (AB-35), Master of Ballistics (AB-35))
* Witch Hunter (75pts)
(Accusation (AB-37), Grim Resolve (AB-37), Magic Resistance (2) (BRB-72), Tools of Judgement (AB-37))
Pistol
* Magic Items (25pts)
BRB - Ruby Ring of Ruin (25pts)
I have 25 points to spend on armor/weapons. I like the ruby ring as it is fluffy and powerful with his killing blow ability. I think it would be very powerful but giving him a 1+/6++ is pretty nice as well. Or adding another inner circle knight might be beneficial. Also I was considering taking the archer detachments below as one unit of huntsmen which would then give me 15pts for items here. Fluff wise it seems that the ruby ring would fit giving him some magic against undead but should he also have a magic weapon or would using a brace of pistols or greatsword be better?
+ Core + (677pts)
* Halberdiers (372pts)
(Regimental Unit (AB-30))
Champion (10pts), 42x Halberdiers (252pts), Musician (10pts), Standard Bearer (10pts)
* Handgunners (90pts)
10x Handgunners (90pts) (Detachment (AB-30))
* Handgunners (170pts)
(Regimental Unit (AB-30))
10x Handgunners (90pts), Musician (10pts)
* Archers (35pts)
5x Archers (35pts) (Detachment (AB-30), Skirmishers (BRB-77)) considering making these their own unit of huntsmen for a fluff perspective but would it seriously hurt the competitiveness?
* Archers (35pts)
5x Archers (35pts) (Detachment (AB-30), Skirmishers (BRB-77))
* Knightly Orders Inner Circle (135pts)
(Swiftstride (BRB-76))
5x Knightly Orders Inner Circle (125pts), Lance and Shield, Musician (10pts)
+ Special + (482pts)
* Demigryph Knights (242pts)
(Armour Piercing (BRB-67) (Demigryph), Fear (BRB-69), Stomp (BRB-76), Swiftstride (BRB-76))
4x Inner Circle Knight (232pts), Lance, Musician (10pts)

I can't really help with the army itself, but eh, it's fluffy enough - I like the idea!

A cool theme (there is even a Garden of Morr terrain produced by GW that sort of things fancies you) with the Cult of Morr - I applaud you for your creative ambition! Some pointers/suggestions
To begin, I will quote an excerpt from the WH RPG on Morr... http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morr
"The cult of Morr does have a number of priests, and at least two orders, the Order of the Shroud, which tends to Morr's funerary rites, and the Augurs, which tends to Morr's function as a source of divination and oracle...Many Amethyst wizards consider Morr to be their patron."
Your 'wizards' could be in fact be oracles/priests/sages of rather than generic wizards. On the topic of wizards, I know you have said your wizards are Light (which is quite a good lore with exorcism), but if you wanted it to be really along the lines of Morr, make them Death wizards.
"...those who fight against the undead, such as Witch Hunters often call upon him [Morr] for divine help, for the art of necromancy enslaves the souls of those who should rightfully fall under Morr's domain"
Your witch hunter falls into line quite well here. Run him with either AoMI for the +1/++6 or take RoRR/glittering scales for that fluffy feel of 'purge the undead with a holy fire' feel.
The cult of Morr also include the Black Guard, dedicated knights and templars who act as the military wing of the cult, charged with assisting the cult in its duties... ...An unofficial group working in Morr's name is the Fellowship of the Shroud, which is dedicated to actively destroying undead creatures and necromancers.
Your Halberdiers can function as Black Guards (although the title would better fit greatswords instead of halberdiers), and the witch hunter/handgunners/archers could be part of the abovementioned 'Fellowship of the Shroud', dedicated to using bullet and blade to bring down the hated undead.
There are also two Knightly Orders dedicated to Morr in The Empire, the Raven Knights and the Knights of Morr. The first owns the small town Siegfriedhof which is situated near the border to Sylvania in Stirland, a perfect location to counter the evil forces of the Undead as far as these Knights are concerned".
This can give you a good idea of where your forces may fall into the existing structure of the cult of Morr. Your Knights should be Knights of Morr. If you're handy with modifications, you may want to run them as 2h knights wielding giant sickles as great weapons or 1h sickles and shields. Your demi-gryphs I would paint up as demi-ravens and make them Raven Knights - avatars of Morr's wrath!
As for the engineers and war machines, they could either be an extension of the Fellowship of the Shroud, or prehaps something more simple, like master engineers who lost their workshop or mines/quarries to the undead and have joined forces with the cult of morr to take back their tainted lands.
Anyhow, hope this helps with your direction/fluff writing. I look forward to hearing Morr (pun intended)!
