I haven't got to play much recently due to finals, so I've been rethinking my tourney list. I want to run a list with more troops and win by scoring, as most of the tourneys focus on taking objectives. Of course, I can't be too sure with 7th edition coming out by the end of the month. But there will probably be at least one more 6th edition tournament before the new changes come into play, so why not?
A note about my local meta: tons of tau and eldar, though not all copy-paste internet WAAC lists. Some SM bike lists, a couple of chaos lists, necron flying fun, and one or two other nid plays. Plus one sad ork player.

The idea is to take all the objectives with numbers. Swarm walks across with the venoms, and trygons pop up near objectives to allow any returning swarm squads to come up through the trygon holes. The two 3 man warrior squads take backfield objectives and provide synapse. The flyrants take out anything that is a threat.
What do you think? Am I too focused on objectives and not on hitting power? I know that most of my opponents are worried about dealing with armor (wave serpents) and high T (riptides, SM bike armies, wraithknights). I don't think any of them could shoot me off the the board, and the amount of troops I have will prevent any last turn shenanigans of turbo-boosting to contest.

Well you have 4 Big Bugs, so you have some MC action...

I've been doodling around with an "enhanced" Endless Swarm"

Winged Dakka'rant
Winged Assassin/ or Dakka'rant

Warrior Brood: Death spitters x2, Cannon
Warrior Brood: as above

Trygon Prime
Trygon Prime

Total cost~ 1140?

Endless Swarm Formation (~ 710? )
Warrior Brood: as above
Hormagaunt Brood x15, Toxic, x3 ~ 360ish?
Termigant Brood, x10 spine/vanilla, +5 Devilgaunts, x3 ~ 240ish?

That should run 1850, or so. The idea is to take advantage of the "return as was" effect of Endless. That should give a noticeble boost to the
striking power of the Gaunts. That is 9 Troops, 6 of which can re-spawn (4+) 2 Big Wormeys, and Two Winged Tyrants give plenty of MC power as well.

Sorry about the "?" but this is off the top of my head...so the numbers need checking

Late entry: Well this does have a glaring lack of Venothropes, but I'd just use the Hormies as a bullet screen, just like the fluff If they don't come back it will be bad....but thats the issue with die roll effects. If you really can't do without....you can drop the Deathspitters, and a Hormie or three, and buy one that way.... You can also drop Big Wormey, back to Wormey, and get 80 points, drop two Hormies, buy two Venos

Sad little bump...Hey, please let me know how this goes (and what sort of list you ended up with...)
