Subject: Need help on removing glue

So I tried to carefully assemble my Stormraven and not get glue all over the hull. You know the stringy little lines that some time you get from using glue. But I did not make it through the construction without this happening. So now I have string cheese(glue) on my hull and want to remove it before I prime and paint. And I don't want to mess up the hull with scratches. Any advice?
Sorry in advance if there has been a thread covering this.
Thanks all.

maybe one of these products could help you out. Ive never used a debonder so i cant comment too much of the usefulness in your situation, but it may be worth a go.

If you are talking about strings I am assuming you used plastic glue? If so, that stuff actually melts the plastic it touches. If there are just a few strands here and there, you may be able to scratch them off with a hobby knife and carefully sand down the area. Also, if you are using GW plastic glue, stop it!
Use this instead, much more controllable, lasts longer and is cheaper.

I could be wrong, but I believe that he was using plastic glue instead of super glue. The debonder will not help if that is the case since the plastic glue actually fuses the two separate pieces together.
My recommendation would be to use a very very very fine grit sandpaper, sanding block, or emery board.
Alternatively you could scar up that area (depending on how big it is) and paint it as combat damage.
Good luck!

Most of the time I use a thick super glue like this time. I had it on a surface and was using a toothpick to put the glue where I wanted it. Question is can I sand the surface with high grid sandpaper or something else?
And no I would never use GW glue.

high grit sandpaper will be fine. Since it's superglue, you can try putting the model in the freezer for a few hours. That will make the glue brittle, you should be able to just scrape it off. Not sure if freezing and thawing will have any affect on the rest of the glue actually holding the model in place though.
