Hi I need a bit of help, I am making an eldar army and have many spar space marine parts, I was wondering, would it be historically (futuristic ally) accurate to use marine parts on the bases of my eldar. I know I can if I want to, but have eldar fought marines in any battles and logically would it make sense to have marines on the bases of my eldar? Thanks!

As battlefield casualties? sure.
As trophies I'm not sure about craftworld Eldar. Dark Eldar on the other hand would most definitely take trophies.

Eldar have fought Space Marines in LOTS of battles. For example the attack on Alaitoc.

This.

Totally acceptable. Morbid, but doesn't break fluff.

Eldar don't like to think about what they've done in battle when they're at peace. In the Path series, the Seer's guilt over killing a helpless human family plagued her throughout the entirety of the second book.

So I'm not too sure if craftworld Eldar would take trophies.

Could say it's just decoration not a trophy if it's on the base.

Yeah, when I hear "parts on the base" I assume we're talking about battlefield detritus, not trophies. Everyone knows trophies go on a long, pointy stick behind yer 'ead.

Craftworld Eldar will fight on the same side as Marines if it suits their purposes. But they have no compunction about betraying the Marines after a common enemy has been dispatched (a Mon'keigh might be so foolish as to believe you've given it your word, but you are under no obligation to honor promises to lesser beings) and neither Marines nor Eldar have any reservations about attacking the other if they hold something they want.

Im pretty sure there has been a fluff incident for every race fighting each other. Even civil wars

Biel-Tan is currently exterminating Imperial worlds to slow a Hive Fleet. So they would certainly see some dead Marines.

They wouldn't take any trophies though. Even if they wanted to, that wouldn't be the Eldar way.

What craftworld were you thinking?

I frequently use spare SM, IG or Tyranid bits on the bases of my Eldar when I can. In the heat of battle, we reap Khaine's bloody work. No time to weep for the fallen (that's for the path of Grief) we run over their bodies to the next work that needs to be done.
