At last weeks club meeting I played a 3 player game of Song of Blades and Heroes. We used one of the many Mordhiem scenarios that 11 hour Gaming has converted for SBH.

They scenario was myself playing the defender attempting to hold off two different forces until a beacon could be lit. Ended up being a really good game and got us thinking alot more about island based scenarios. It might be time to build a water tabletop. Full report here:

Also, I didn't post it earlier, but two other members of our club tried out the new game "Of Gods and Mortals". It's by the same author and has very similar rules, but it's made for larger engagments including squads and also includes a small reaction mechanic.

I just bought the rules myself and hope to try them out soon. This game is also published by Osprey, so the rulebook is beautiful.
