I played a game recenty using 2 Shades (among other stuff) from the Moria Angmar book.

We counted, and 1 of the Shades soaked up 120 arrows, and still had a Wound left to get into Combat. Lost the game ultimately, but watching that little bastard meat-shield that good had me smiling from ear-to-ear.

Shades + Barrow Wights + Spectres + a Wraith....one of the funnest army cores I've played with in the game. Everything has Terror, and the Shades and Spectres are Wounding against Courage, which the Good Angmar guys aren't so good at. Of course, you have to actually win a fight, and with 1 attack across the board, not very easy to do...but still fun whipping out all the scary mojo!

Sounds like a pretty neat army. I can just see it now.

The game actually worked out in just that way. I was playing against mostly Angmar good guys, but there was a smaller contingent of Elves. The Angmar guys got scared to death and were failing courage tests left and right on the charge.

The Elves weren't scared one bit...not one courage test failure on the charge.

So this was a case where the game ended up matching the lore to great effect, making it even that much funner.
