An army containing a perpetual is never "tabled". Instead, the perpetual is redeployed at the controlling player's table edge immediately after death. If you want a durable heavy bolter or missile launcher put a space marine devestator squad in a fortification with an ammo dump. That way you get 4 heavybolters at just slightly less than bs5 and one at bs9. It also comes to 1800pts less than your single immortal heavy bolter guy.
If you want continuous respawning go for endless swarm nids.
