Probably not very competitive but could be fun assuming first turn goes well.

I'd turn 2 Stormtalons into a Stormraven and escort it with the remaining talon. I'd also drop both librarians for a better HQ, they don't get you anything on the drop and you're not using the command squad they unlock. Try a chapter master in terminator armor for an orbital bombardment maybe?

I like this list, I'd keep it the same, except drop the talon who is doing nothing and take a 5 man assault squad in drop pod with duel flamers!

Personally prefer the libbys so that they can unleash a psychic gak storm when they arrive, and given that I'll be up close and personal I don't want to risk an OB scattering back onto my guys.
What would better, dropping the stock talon for the podded assault marines or dropping a sternguard for a sky hammer upg?

Maybe upgrade the pods to death wind? The templates would provide some much needed fire support for your undermanned tac squads. I also think that you can't have more than half your army in reserve? Also the storm talons are fliers thus must come in from reserve....so you would have only your hq on the field on turn 1. If ur hq gets sniped by lascannons etc on turn1 then you automatically lose because you have no models on the field.

@warren0110
Have you considered using the command squad at all, maybe in place of some Sternguard? They could put out some nice firepower with 5 special weapons or even provide some FNP to the librarians as they land. It saves you enough points to upgrade a talon to a raven probably too... Give it a try, it might be worthwhile. I don't think another pod gives you much because you'll still only get 4 on turn 1. I'd also consider trying to get the tac squads up in body count.. The legion of the damned are great but I find that a 5 man squad is enough to get the job done. I'd drop the extra talon and a couple of them, downgrade one Sternguard squad, and fill out the tac squads.
@BloodAngelic
The HQs are in a pod with other infantry so doesn't count against the number of units required to start on the table. All of the units are fliers which must start in reserves or have dedicated transports which must do the same so they do not count against the number of units you have starting in reserve. Also, since the death wind launchers fire blast markers, they cannot be used the turn the pods arrive because it can only snapshot and blast marker weapons cannons be snap shot.

So he doesn't need to have anything on field on turn 1? Wouldn't that be an instant loss? And I was talking about the turn after deepstrike. You don't always kill a unit straight up when you drop pod in, but you would probably lose the squad you dropped in. The template is for revenge lol.

A whole game turn consists of two player turns so as half my pods deploy turn one ill be ok In that aspect.
I hadn't considered the command squad but only because they don't have the special ammo the stern do, but a 5 man squad with combi weapons and a pod is almost 100 points (maybe more) cheaper so I shall have a ponder
