So I busted out my ogres last night that I painted up when I was in my teens "think 18 or 19" been quite a few years now and they are...... not perfect. I was thinking of striping them and repainting them but a part of me thinks it is cool to see how far you come along. Not to mention if I get better again in 6 years do I restrip and do it again? I already have about 500+ models to paint a few sculpting commissions and other crap to due.

So do you strip your old models? sell them off? or keep for reference of skill?

I need to go to work every day.

I don't,t have many so keep, even the first captain of badly painted marines. Shows me how far I've come even in a year :-)

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

I always keep my old pj's - I have plenty to paint and would rather keep the history/ development and keep moving forwards. I'll strip anything I buy painted that I want to paint myself (I don't collect other people's development ) and anything I want to sell that someone else painted, but my pj's? No, I'd feel like I'd wasted my time if I stripped them.

The only exception I guess would be if I couldn't replace an old model and wanted it painted in keeping with my current stuff, but generally I'd hit Ebay to buy another model if that came up.

If you want to strip and start over instead of starting with fresh models, do so!

The guy in my avatar has been stripped and repainted twice since the picture was taken and looks 10x better than he did at that point in time.
