I've finally gotten around to assembling my Deathmarks and I'm having a terrible time getting the arms to line up properly. Anyone have any advice to make the job easier?

Don't really have any good tips, found it really hard myself to be honest. The way I did it though was that after doing a couple of models i noticed most guns go pretty much straight across the chest (with a very slight downwards angle), so i just started gluing the gun arm first that way and then squeezing the other arm in place afterwards. Thanks to the superglue being strong enough it worked out well for me (even the ones where i ended up with a small gap between the gun and the left arm I just squeezed it together while waiting for the glue to settle and it has held up so far).

Follow the instructions and use the specific numbered arms indicated for the weapon. Seriously, they really made Necron arms annoying to assemble.

Yes, I know to follow the instructions and use the matching arms. The problem is with the ball joint shoulders that don't give you any indication of how to orient the arms unless you're dexterous enough to hold both arms at the same time. At least with Immortals the power leads coming off the gun to the torso allows you to glue the one arm in the correct position and then glue on the other arm.

How do I even articulate this? Ok, I remember building my Deathmarks and they are definitely a tough build.

If I remember correctly, each one had one arm that fit snugly into the joint, but the other arm was always glued to the outer edge of the joint and I used gap filler to fill in the joint itself. It reduces the visible hole, but you can still kinda tell it didn't quite fit right.

Most of the time, it was the arm that is holding the under side of the rifle that snugly fit into the joint, so you could only see the gap filler on the other arm if you looked at the model from below.

Hope this helps.

I might try gluing the two arms together and then see if I can flex it enough without breaking the joint. I might have to shave down the balls on the arms and fill the sockets in the torso with a little contour putty. Probably won't have a chance to try that until next weekend at the earliest though.

I ended up cutting a lot of my necrons at the shoulders/elbows/knees to get good reposes.
Its easy to GS the damage and they are such cool models but your very limited if you use the numbers in the instructions.
Its not so easy with the immortals because of the cabels but its doable with the marks.

I feel for you.

The only thing that worked for me was (a) assemble the legs and torso and glue to the base, (b) wedge the base between ring-finger and pinky, (c) do my best with my free fingers and my free hand.

They make little clip-stands that could do a better job than me at (b), but with enough repetition I;ve been able to get a good go at it....at terrible cost to my hands in terms of cramping.

They are naturally pain to do Had Necron battle force and decided to go with Deathmarks rather then Immortals (think back now should of gone immortals then could have squad of 10 today lol)

Building my 6th and 10th immortal over these next few days so should go well with luck lol

Mix up some green stuff and put little micro-nuggets into the shoulder joints along with the glue. It'll make posing the arms incredibly easy as long as you get the job done before the glue dries.
