Not sure if this has ever been brought up before but a significant part of the posts in the SS are for USA or UK only. Currently 19 of the front page posts are region specific only.

With the amount of traffic the SS sees why not implement a UK Only and a USA Only sub forum?

It would just fragment stuff too much.

Implementing a UK only and a US only subforum would mean that every person looking to buy in the US would be forced to visit two separate forums to see everything available to him. Same problem with the UK.

That would make it more of a pain for buyers to find what they are looking for. It is easier to ignore threads than it is to click through two separate sub-forums.

From the seller's perspective it would mean that you are risking missing out on sales because somebody looking to buy might not go into the sub-forum and just browse the regular forum instead.

The traffic of threads itself would also be fairly low. I think each page has 50 threads. Right now only 5 threads are UK Only, so it's hard to justify a separate sub-forum for something that takes up only 10% of the 1st page. The US Only threads only take up 30% of the front page, which I still think is probably not enough for a sub-forum either. Right now the 1st page in the SS cover 2 days, which is a good balance.

Now that the search function is fixed it is probably just a lot easier to search the SS for US/USA/UK than it would be to add sub-forums.

This, in a nutshell. The idea was bandied about a few years back, and it was decided that it would just create far more hassle for buyers and sellers than it would be worth.
