Great report as usual, really thought you were going to receive heavy vehicle losses in the first few turns, looks like the Blasterborne and Ravagers were clutch! I think this new edition is going to do quite a lot for us Dark Eldar players. Keep on rockin!

I think 7th is going to cripple DE actually. Now we need 6's to knock out vehicles with our shooting which is a massive kneecap for DE.
We lack any sort of volume fire from S6-7 which is now more then ever the best way to kill vehicles. High rate of fire AC's still rape our transports but now we will struggle more then ever to crack their vehicles.
A more elegant way to boost vehicles from volume of fire would have been to make AP 4+ incapable of damaging vehicles beyond stripping HP's. This way they still can knock tanks out, but only AP1-3 can actually explode, immobilize, weapon destroy and stun/shake.
The way they chose just invalidates single shot high strength low AP even more. I expect to need three ravagers now just to kill a rhino which is horrible. 9 shots, 6 hits, 4 glance/pen hopefully three make it through cover/smoke. Thats beyond depressing.

I think having the str 8 ap2 is still going to be good. You pen a good number of times, and you have a chance of blowing up the tank with just one pen. As for the rest of it, allies. Battlebrothers with eldar... If you need some str 6 and 7 shooting some waveserpents, warwalkers and what not can be included with ease. That, and now we can do crazy things like banshes in a raider, or firedragons in venoms... Ahh the possibilities.
I feel like even though it is a tough balance to nail down, our vehicle killing power comes from our infantry units such as Wyches, Grotesques. Our strength in shooting is our mass poisoin, I dont think lances are reliable enough to be dependable. We have open topped vehicles that are slightly more survivable now. Less explosions will help us dramatically. Also my estimation is that psychic powers on the whole are nerfed. If true, that is definitely a win for us.

Indeed. Lances are not dependable on the raiders... one shot... not something you can bank on, unless you are playing
"plan roll 6es!!" (works every time). The added survivability of the dark eldar skimmer in 7th is going to be great... we will be hullpointed down just as often tho... because of the low AV. But the lack of exposions should keep the army in the fight longer... and also, make up for the loss of craters when the vehicles die. Powers are different, not nerfed... but I thing a farseer is still a great choice for the Dark Kin, altho not an auto include... as I will also be considering an autarch for the modified reserves rules, and now that you can reserve the entire army again... (well, as long as you have something on the table to prevent a tabling.).
