I think I've had the wrong idea with Zoe and pi-well. I'd always used them as pi being g:synchronised (so I'd fix stuff with him and if Zoe died he was gone, the two only generated one order etc), but I just realised he's g: remote presence.

So just wanting clarity on this. Do they function pretty much like Margot and Duroc from ariadna? Two separate individuals on the table, just have to be fielded together in the same combat group. So seeing as zoe is an engineer, can I still get a g:sync servant for her to do her fixer uppering?

They're pretty much like Margot and Duroc, or Scarface and Cordelia, yes.

And yes, Zoe can be given a separate Zondbot (as can as Cordelia be given a Nasmat when she's in QK).

Last Nomad player I faced used them, and claimed they took up one 'slot' and gave two orders or some nonsense.

Thanks, that's good to get that clarified. Not exactly sure if I prefer it this way, both have their advantages and respective disadvantages. It was nice being able to move pi and fix something under one order, but having to drag Zoe around caused a number of problems. I guess it'll give me a decent idea of the difference between the two when I next run them.

Haha well dakkamite I'm not quite that bad, I was still using them as giving a single order. It was only when I tried to put them in a ten man combat group that I noticed something weird when it kept putting my 'tenth' model in a second combat group. Turns out it was actually an eleventh

They are two entirely separate models that happen to be bought together.

They take 2 spots in a combat group (one each) and provide an order each. They simply come together for the one cost.

So, not nonsense then!

Why so angry Dakkamite?

Did that same Nomad Player use the standard 'dirty tricks' too?

I tend to carry around a cup of mud just in case

... But I think he was referring to having Zoe and pi take only one slot in your combat group but still give an order each. So you could in theory have a full combat group with 11 orders + Lt

Do they? The list builders I've used have always counted Zoe and Pi well as 2 models for the combat group, not 1. It's possible the list builders are wrong, but if it's as people are saying above, that they work like Scarface and Cordelia, they definitely take 2 spots in a combat group. The only difference between them and 2 other models is you're paying 1 cost to get both.

Haha no sorry, I was trying to clarify what (I think) dakkamite was talking about the nomad player trying to one up him.

They're 2 slots, 2 orders, brought together.

I should have added "... if you followed that logic" on the end
