So, for my Dark Eldar army, I wanted to pick up some slave girls. (Ideally, I wanted slave boys too, but thus far no luck finding any...)

At any rate, Kid Kyoto turned me on to Bronze Age Minis.

First impressions were awesome! Great minis. Few, if any, prices listed though. More disheartening was the home page for the site, which appears to be nearly a year out of date. Nevertheless, I contacted David with a request, and was pleasantly surprised to get an email back the next day saying that they were indeed still in business!

There is no online cart option, so all pricing has to be handled with the proprietor via email. Here's a timetable for how long everything took

Spoiler:
Initial contact to response: 13 hours.
From placing an order to receiving an invoice: 14 hours.
Payment to receipt of goods: 10 days.

Very reasonable times involved, honestly.

When the models arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. They had been shipped in an individually slotted bag, to reduce wear and tear, which was a nice touch. The minis all appear as advertised. I can't find any bubbles, cracks, craters, or weak points. The mold lines, while definitely visible on a couple, are better than what is typical for, say, a GW metal mini.

Now, to get it out of the way: yes, these minis are horribly, hideously sexist. Misogynistic, degrading, and loathsome. My only defense is that they are intended for basing accents for Dark Eldar, and the DE are degrading, loathsome people.

In any event, the detail work on these minis is wonderful! Sure, they have ridiculously unrealistic proportions, but the muscle tone is great without looking freakishly bodybuilder-y (GW slave girls, I'm looking at you!) and the faces all look reasonable. The hair is the shining star of these minis though. Each coiffure is a miniature work of art, and I hope the guy I get to paint them can make the heads look as good as the sculpts promise.

Here's what I ordered: (Click on the pic to navigate to the site) Images NSFW.
Spoiler:

Here's what I got: (This was the best pic my phone could take. I'll try for a better one on Thursday, when I can borrow a camera.) Images NSFW.
Spoiler:

And the best part of all: I got all these minis for less than $15! $14.30 for all of these! That's a great price.

Overall: Quality 8/10, Price 10/10, Speed 6/10, Communication 7/10. Would definitely shop with this company again!

NSFW in the tag headline would of been nice.

Fixed.

Should have thought of that from the get-go. An NSFW tag is sure to drive up the views.

Got me to read it.

I think I'd go in with maybe a bit of GS or liquid GS and kind of bulk them up a little, personally. Yeah, they're not as bad as GW's stuff, but they do... sort of look like boys with boobs. Not Michaelangelo levels, but still, a bit weedy.

Speaking of, you mentioned slave boys? That might actually be doable, especially if you could find some bitz or base models that might work. If you've got cash or bitz to trade, I could see taking that up as a project, perhaps.

Honestly, I only needed enough for my Talos and my Cronos, and since this came in an 7-pack, I should be good to go! That gives me three each for the monstrous creatures, and one extra. (Possibly for the Duke's base, although I think I'll wait on that until after the new codex comes out.)

Looking good.

I always liked Bronze Age's Not-John-Carter line (which I believe they actually can call John Carter since he's in the public domain) glad to hear they're in business.

Yeah, those John Carter aliens are pretty dope.

ALL of their stuff is of above-average quality, and the prices are all pretty tasty. The worst ones are still around market average, but many of them are I-feel-guilty-for-buying-it-this-cheap cheap.

Thanks, it should drive up the views as well. Sorry if I sounded rude but, here in the USA we have such a issue with It. I don't care personally. I like those minis.

They aren't. However it contains nudity and that's a big no no in the USA. Even though they are just miniatures.

Indeed. And even if the users are adult enough to handle some bared nipples, some Dakkaites view Dakka at school, work, or in front of their parents. And in such a scenario, bare-chested slave girls are probably NOT what you want your boss/teacher/mom catching you looking at.

Well they are marketed as slave girls, and not college girls on spring break.

Which reminds me, so long as we're plugging cool indie models.
