Tor Gaming are hosting a crowdfunding project on their new platform for the game Relics. Their main goal was to fund a set of terrain and some mercenaries. Now that they hit their main goal, the stretch goals are helping speed up the sculpting and production of the remaining models from their first book. They offer starter deals and army deals for new players, on top of the basic items from the project. All that with free shipping.

You can take a look at the project there:

I had never heard of this crowdfunding site, and it's an interesting campaign. Nice find, Tonio!

I've not heard of this one either. There only seems to be a single project up at the moment, as I can't find any way to actually see a list of other ongoing / past projects.

I fond that a little odd, so a little digging later suggests that this is either a new site (last update on the domain was May 1st) or something else is going on. I'm more inclined to think the latter, as both gamingfunder.com and torgaming.co.uk are registered to the same individual.

Whilst I'm not going to say that this is someone trying to pull a fast one, I'd urge more caution than usual for crowd funding for anyone looking to back this. Especially, as gamingfunder.com suggests the only way to cancel a pledge is at the discretion of the project creator.

It isn't written all over the front page, but yeah, this project is the first for the GamingFunder site. They launched it with this project, and are looking for other projects right now.

Tor Gaming are not new to crowdfunding though. They already ran two successful campaigns, one on Kickstarter and one on Indiegogo. I'm not really afraid of them running out with the money, but it's true, keep it in mind.

About not being able to cancel a pledge and having to go to the project owner, isn't Indiegogo working like that too?

Interesting... so they're basically launching a crowdfunding site and a project with this, it seems

I don't think there's much additional danger here, as it's not like Kickstarter themselves offer much protection. Tor Gaming is known, and as Tonio says have run successful campaigns before... but it is something to pay attention to.

Tor Gaming crew showed a cast of the portal this week, with a quick coat of paint on it. They also previewed Lingering Effect tokens that will be available as add-ons (and potentially some free if enough peopel back the project).

Both items are pretty basic, but still look good. Nothing that couldn't be home built (or proxied for the portal), but I find they fit the theme of Relics nicely.

There is also a small contest going on Miniature Maniacs Studio to win a starter, a rulebook, some dice and a couple blisters:

Only 3 days left on the Relics Reinforcements 2 crowdfunder.
https://www.gamingfunder.com/projects/relics-reinforcements-2/

The Sol (from the Vaettir faction), is almost unlocked.

The Tor Gaming gans also shared a wip pic of the general release Banished Knight in the last days.

The Sol is now unlocked and can be added to your pledges. Next one is the Orcnar Dmoder. They also added the Lingering Effects tokens as possible add-ons.

Tor Gaming also shown a final cast of the exclusive Banished Knight. Looks really good, I must say.
