Galrauch charges a single model and his breath weapon inflicts 12 hits on a single model.

"Any models hit must pass a Toughness test or be removed from play..."

Does the single model take 1 Toughness test or 12 Toughness tests?

I argue that it is a single test as the rules stipulate that models take A toughness test, which implies that a model can only be forced to take a single hit. The rule does not say "for each hit".

I don't have a dog in this fight, but it did apparently cause quite a scene at a FLGS this week so I'd like to get this figured out.

That way,then left

It seems a model hit 12 times is a model hit. Looks like a single test, oddly

I have to agree that it is a single toughness test, as the rule is only interested if the model is hit or not.

The model takes the 12 hits, but only checks once, as the rule does not mention needing to take a test for each hit.

A sabove. If you were hit, you take a test. The number of times you were hit is unimportant.
