I'm DaKrumpa and the first step is to admit I have a problem...

I hoard materials and bits to use on projects that I never start.

TILL NOW!

Feet!

Base!

Supports!

Mock up for shoulder height.

Mock up with arm positions and belly cannon!

Chest cannon, I'm planning on have four of these across the top end of the chest.

Lol, ya I think it is breaking into the twenty inch range at the top of the frame, before the shoulder tube. I'm torn between doing a chainsaw CCW or a klaw, or even a mining drill!

So I glued the top of the support layer on last night. I'm going to edge that this afternoon after work and probly finish the mounting for the belly gun and chest cannons. The ccw is still up in the air but I want some sort of Zappa or energy weapon for the other arm. Also I'm debating what to do with the shoulder areas because they are so massive. I might start mocking up a head soon.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Not to much progress today, got the base sided and have the arms/shoulder assembled but not completely attached yet.
Here are just a couple photos.

Glued the arms on to the supports and started a chainsaw CCW.

It is very well balanced at this point so im going to try and keep the arm weight down.
I
Frame work for the CCW.

Gnashy Tooth!

Im going to probly get alittle more done this evening but I am running low on a few things like glue....

The body looks nice and solid. Only criticism I have is that the chainsaw teeth don't project far enough from their casing, but that's just personal pref. Nice work!

My buddy said the same thing, I could easily make another one but I'm going to wait I till I have the other arm done. I am out of Zappa gap!

I also need help point costing this beast, I can't seem to find a proper dataslate anywhere.

So I think my gargant kinda looks like cartman. I will be getting more glue today, I have a plan for the arms to make them detachable.

I wouldn't say you need to rebuild the chainsword arm. Perhaps trim the edge pieces down to about half their current size and that should be enough. I'd imagine Orks would just keep hitting things over and over again anyway until the crushed it, so the teeth are probably a lesser concern.

I'm not even sure how you'd go about point costing something like that. Perhaps have a look and see if anybody has done an Emperor Titan dataslate and go from there.

Hmm... It feels like it doesn't have enough dakka

1400 points of EW/MW Italians (FoW)
2200 points of SoB and Inquisition (40K)
1000 points of orks (40K)
Just starting out with Ultramarines (30K)
Four 1000-2500 point forces for WHFB (RIP)
One orc team (Blood Bowl)

So I am going with something based off the warlord. It is posted over in proposed rules. If I finish this tonight I will be fielding it in an apoc game tomorrow!

I found an interesting technique to fill the large dead spaces or close up and bad gaps. I picked up some heavy duty label paper, it is brown and has sharp corners. It is used from product labels and very sturdy. It makes it appear as paneling with out having to cut the model or having that stuck on look!

I also am making the arms with a 212pvc coupling so they are detachable and replaceable.

So I got a lot done tonight! I promise that the head is just a place holder for now. The arms look alittle wide set but I am planning on making shoulder pads. It is now alittle off balance so I am going to have attach the feet at some point.

I will be using it in Apoc tomorrow (reason why I made the goofy head). I'll take some pictures of it fighting off some Eldar and DE.

The chainsaw looks better here. I like the black bits for the engine fittings, looks suitably robust.
Looks like he's wearing a monocle right now. "I say, give me a better head, old chap."
