So after about 6 months of not painting anything I decided to get my gear out once more and paint some models! Pics of recently finished models to come later. Anyhow, most of my paints had dried up somewhat so I had to somehow get water into the pot to dilute the dried pigment. I dont have a dropper so I used a handy trick I figured out a while back.
All you have to do is use those paint brush tip protectors (the clear plastic cylinders with open ends) and mostly submerge them in the water. Once the majority of it is full, press a spare finger over the open end so that no air can get in. This creates a seal so that no water can escape when you remove it from the water. Now simply pull it out of the water while keeping your finger pressed firmly then release the water into your paint pot. This obviously works better if you have a larger paint brush protector because the meniscus forces will be smaller so youll be able to get more water out.
Hopefully this handy tip will help you in your painting escapades!
