Door prizes will be given out during the tournament between Rounds.
At the beginning of each round players will need to adhere to the following steps:
_Get you, and your armies to the table
_Discuss the terrain and be clear as to what each piece will be.
_Roll off to determine who goes first and which side the second player wants
_Measure and set up your deployment areas, since we will be deploying on the clock
_Pick your army
_When the signal is given start your clocks and get to deploying, and playing.
Announcements
_We are using large event scoring for the Cup. If you need to drop, please let us know as soon as you can. We’d prefer that you let us know when you turn your score sheet in
_Deployment is on the clock.
_DO NOT Pause the clock for any reason other than a PG/Judge has told you to. This will help ensure we stay on time
_Once your match is over, please score your game and get the record sheets to the PGs as soon as possible.
_Discuss the terrain and be clear about your intentions. Ex.: A Hill by itself does not confer a +2 Def unless it is also considered elevation of 1” or higher.
_We are looking at a long day of epic matches; bring snacks, drinks, Ibuprofen, etc… as needed to get through the day.
_If there is an issue, try to work it out among you and your opponent. If you cannot, don’t hesitate to call one of the PGs over. We will make a ruling, once the ruling has been made move on. We are human, and therefore not infallible. If it is a wrong ruling, please don’t argue about it.
_If there is a problem, we will try to fix it as best we can.
_If we have a table that is getting heated, we will ask everyone involved to take a breath and make any necessary rulings.
_If it flares up too bad, we will call the game and score it as it lies. Afterwards we will have the players involved separate and cool down.
_If it gets too out of hand, we will do what we don’t even want to think about doing, and eject one or both players. We understand that this is a very competitive event, but we also want it to be a friendly, fun event as well. We want to see you guys next year and the years after.
