So, here's a quick question.

As I understand it, the Malefic Conjuration with the longest range is only 12". Meanwhile, the ally relationship Comes the Apocalypse allows units to be fielded alongside one another, but specifies that they cannot deploy within 12" of one another.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something here, that means loyalist forces can NOT summon daemons, yeah? Since daemonic forces have a CTA relationship, and thus cannot be summoned within the legal range of the power?

Since the WD battle report talked about Ezekiel summoning a demon, I assume there's a way to do it, but could someone tell me where my logic breaks down? I'm not lucky enough to have an advance copy of the rules, unfortunately.

I'd assume the "cannot deploy within 12" of each other" bit refers only to actual deployment at the start of the game during set-up.

Thats actual deployment, not movement. They cannot move within 1" of each other as per Desperate Allies rules, since Come the Apoc is nothing but Desperate Allies with the 12" deployment restriction.

Which im enjoying the thought of Come the Apoc being allowable. Means i can loot an Imperial Knight and use it as such for my orks! lol

Starting it 12" away is just sensible practice, never know when those looted things are gonna 'splode!

But if the demons are not deployed on the table, how do they arrive? Even if you arrive by deep strike or from reserve, you still deploy. To my knowledge, deploying is the only way to get on the table.

Deepstrike, as per the summoning rules, with the limitation of 12" from the caster rather than the entire table. Or whatever the range is on the spell.

One moves on from reserves, they do not deploy from them.

Likewise, one deepstrikes through moving, not deploying.

If so, that's a big change. The current rules say you deploy.

Alrighty then. Assuming they changed the Deep Strike rules then that would make it workable.
