Possibly a silly question as I've just skimmed through the book, but one thing that came to my mind is this:

Huron generates a random power from a randomly chosen discipline each turn. Since this is his only power, does this mean that he gets the primaris of the relevant discipline in addition to the one he generates, effectively giving him two random powers a turn?

We don't know. It needs an FAQ

I would wait for a FAQ for that. But yes, RAW, that should be the case.

My reading of Psychic Focus says that Yes, he does get the primaris in addition to whatever else he rolled for.

It looks like the only real qualification on getting the primaris is that all of your psychic powers are from the same discipline. Each turn Huron only gets 1 discipline. Therefore he auto gets the primaris.

It looks like the only reason you would ever want to swap a rolled for power for the primaris is if you are generating powers from multiple tables for the same guy.

Im going to be pretty upset if he doesn't get a full out rework now that he literally has 0 psyker ability use atm with the new Psy phase and tables.

Currently, he's supposed to be a Bio / Pyro. What they should be doing with him is simply state he knows the abilities from both trees but can only ever manifest 1 from either, per turn and it cannot be the same one in following turns consecutively. As it stands, he was too random to begin with pretty much making him one of (If not THE) most unreliable HQ choice in the Dex, unable to support nor benefit the rest of the army outside his Warlord Trait, which he then becomes pretty much useless afterwards if you don't plan on offering him up as a tasty snack FB + Warlord kill, he sits in the back manning a Quadgun.

On turn one yes, the instant he gets a new power then no he losses it. It is in the focus section, if you change powers during the game you lose focus.
