I'm trying to decide what to do with my Heldrake. I've seen flying bases primed black, I've seen imaginative basing (my next Heldrake will be breathing fire onto the base, I'm just not confident enough to do that yet), and I've seen clear ones. What's the general consensus?

I just grin and bear it dude. Chuck some detail onto the flat part of the base and hope it draws the eye away from the horrid plastic stem.
