Are British forces viable in a Competitive scene? I have a lot of British models and want to buy the Market Garden box set, but also want to play in tournaments. If not, then I'm prepared to buy a US Tank Destroyer army or some Germans. What do you guys think?

Hi there, I've played a lot of British over the last few years, and apart from British para's - which are very competitive, the most competitive British lists are Canadian, New Zealand and Indian infantry.

These all tend to work best when in transports, backed up by a couple of tank/tank destroyer platoons. Throw in cheap recce, wasps as flame units, some 6 pdrs AT guns and you have a competitive list. It may not be easy to win tournaments, but usually place highly

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

With Brits consider an 'artillery company'. It matters less what tyype of company it actually is, though infantry helps just bring the big guns. British artillery has some tricks up its sleeve.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
