Well I am assuming it will have a neg effect on your perils rolls, as they are the only LD test left related to psychic powers. That being said at the moment it kinda does nothing as a success manifestation never requires a LD check.

Just have to wait for the FAQ and see if they change it completely or just bandaid it over to the perils rolls till nids next codex.

maybe it automatically negates one success on your psychic tests... so you need two successes to cast a Level 1 spell and so on...

But I trust in GWs ability to make it absolutely worthless

It will continue to be a force that causes psykers to do more than just fail a test a bit more often. The new perils chart is huge with how much damage it can do to psykers, and most of the rolls on the chart require leadership tests.

SitW still reduces the leadership of the psykers, even outside of these tests. This makes it amazing versus units of psykers or units with the brotherhood of psyker rules, as it hurts them when they take perils and when they are called to make leadership tests.
