The last two rule books are moving way to close to fantasy.

My prediction is that they will combine the two rule books and only have one.

My prediction is that your prediction is silly and that you could not be more wrong.

That would be one of the dumbest things ever.

The rules are very different. The sheer fact that in WHFB you move a unit around in one solid block bunched together changes the way a lot of things work as compared to 40k.

I do not work for GW in any fashion. When I edit my post, either I've misspelled something, punctuation, or I'm fixing swearing. Oops.

I have 2 predictions:

1) Thousands of people will read this thread, thinking it's actually informative.
2) Hating 7th will be the cool thing for 6 months, then we will spend a year playing, then we will start hearing rumors of an 8th and hate it.
3) Nobody will notice there are 3 predictions here, when I said 2.

Actually, I can count three predictions in point 2 alone

2270 (1725 painted)
1978 (180 painted)
329 (280ish)
705 (0)
193 (0)
165 (0)

Faeit did have a rumor that was quickly dismissed as hogwash that said something similar, about a way to have 40k play against Fantasy. It's likely that one of two things occurred with regards to that:

1) It was actually early 7th edition rumors/leaks that were misinterpreted

2) 7th edition is actually the precursor to such a thing happening later down the road.

I would not put #2 past GW; they've fully embraced the idea of "Any Citadel model you buy should be usable in a game" so the next logical step would be to make some way for all those people that have bought some WHFB models to use them in 40k and vice versa, and this would also tie into GW's overall strategy because if you buy a unit or two of WHFB figures, what's the next logical step? Buying more and starting to play WHFB! They would be delusional enough to imagine throngs of players buying some fantasy units for "narrative" 40k games and then deciding to expand out into Fantasy as a game.

40k Unbound can open the floodgates for something like that if a future version of Fantasy includes the same. Not to mention that the 40k fluff has included a story with Draigo ending up in the Old World, so there's now even a tie-in again between the two games.

Moving towards War Machine and Hordes.

Rolling dice for psychic powers is stupid. They want it to be fantasy magic but the issue is there is no counter rolling in 40k with power dice.
