Anyone else got this? I decided on it after two of my friends got the hardback. Figured having different kinds would give us more ways of finding things quicker.

To some extent I like it.
It's got the good parts of how the ipad codex have been so far. Good hot-linking of rules and to other sections.

But then it starts disappointing. While the book is split into "books" (more like chapters...) like the physical one, it still has all of the books in one file, which means if I try to do a search, it'll search through all the lore. So I'm trying to search for rules and I get LOADS of lore hits.
And sometimes the search just doesn't seem to have indexed things. I'm trying to find the rule for Chaos Psychic Focus and the search turns up nothing.

I have the monster of a rulebook for sixth that I bought a year or two back, and I also downloaded (gasp, horror) a pdf of it that I was able to use the search in. The search in that was better than the search in this ibook version.

I'd agree with this assessment. Lumping it into one giant file makes the a Interactive version almost useless. The file is so massive that navigating it takes forever, and the search results are polluted by the lore section.

The TOC is very extensive though. Pretty easy to find what you want just using that.

And the miniature pictures of the pages in the TOC is great if you know the book well enough to know what you're looking at.
I'm not saying it's all bad. I'm just saying the biggest glaring mistake could have been easily avoided if GW hadn't been so desperate to sell the other sections that they simply had to lump it all together.

There is a reason why GW is lumping "the other stuff" with the core rules. They know it's a minority that wants it.
They need it in there to justify the price tag by calling it content, but they don't trust that content to sell itself, because they know it's trash.

Sorry, I've been looking at it on the Mac and the TOC is a drag down, instead of the page thumbnails.

If you're just looking up a USR or something similarly small, use the glossary instead of a full search. It's what I do with my enhanced SM codex. I guess they're going to have to update all the enhanced ebooks to correct all the USRs that have changed.

The glossary is incredibly useful, and search as well. Rules terms don't really appear in the other books, so I've never had a search term that appeared in any of those. And even when a search doesn't take me exactly where I want, it doesn't matter because if the word is there, there is also a link to the relevant section. I mostly use the glossary though because of how fast it is. All that + the TOC means I could find anything in seconds during the game I played. So to me it's pretty much perfect.
