It's a 81 point model that can successfully on basically a 4+ give you a free Daemon Unit without ever needing to roll. They can become possessed by a Greater Daemon.

Mother of god, that's good.
So looking at it further, given that you can roll Deny the Witch against it how would it work as you have no successes when rolling to cast it.
I don't have the wording but I imagine any 6 on Deny the Witch would deny it?

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,

I don't know it says Automatically cast.
It can go two ways:
1. They just need to make 1 Deny the Witch roll on a 6 ( which coincidentally if you are going heavy on the Psychics just cast it at the end of your turn when they run out)
2. It has a number equal to the Spell that was cast so if it cast a Level 1 itd be 1 Deny the Witch if a Level 2 , 2 and so on.
I think it'll be FAQed the 2nd way but may work the 1st way right now.
edit:
You also get the if the enemy cast a spell for extra warp in your turn thing they have.

Enemies can't cast spells against you when you have 36 deny dice.

It can't be denied. It's cast at the start of your turn, when the opponent has no warp charge to deny with.

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS. |

It's an HQ choice so it's a tough call. Be'lakor and Fateweaver bring more to the army than this cheap little maggot, and four Heralds produce more guaranteed warp charges than his possible cast is worth, but I can see him as a fourth HQ slot choice in the second detachment of a psyker zerg army. More troop slots for pink horrors!

Yeah he's perfect for a Combined Arms detachment. Sure you might not roll one of those but honestly who cares, of those 6 powers on two are Witchfire the others are amazing.
They do automatically kill themselves when they roll Possession which I think is hilarious. Also pretty sure if they do cast at the start of the turn you could actually move, but of course not assault or cast conjuration stuff.
It's almost better than a free portaglyph. Actually I'd argue its currently the best point value psyker summoner right now. Its 81 points and you don't have to do anything but roll a dice.

It's fine for a Primary Daemon CA detahcment because he can be one of the four Heralds you get for that HQ slot. It cuts into the WC spam a little but I think it might still be worth doing. The point is that you can still slide another 9 levels of Psyker into that HQ slot, so it's not just maggot on one hand and Fateweaver on the other.

You can't take the Blue Scribes as one of the 4-in-1 Herald group. That one's not in the box of the 4-in-1s. Same as the Masque. Stupid but RAW.
But the Scribes are awesome for a 2nd Combined Arms detachment. I'm gonna make one now, along with 2 Burning Chariots with Relentless Exalted Flamers! WOOT! They finally got that right

The blue scribes are a really good choice now.
As a jetbike they can only jink instead of going to ground, they can't join a unit, and they only have 2 wounds so they should be a high priority target.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Yeah, that particular reading comprehension failure has bitten me twice today. I don't actually play daemons, I only visit the codex when we're all having such fun freaking out.

You think Daemons are breaking it, but I just found out that the way the new rulebook is worded, you can take combined arms detachments from any faction in the game. The Ally Detachment only exists as a cheap 1 HQ 1 Troop option. You can take 1 Combined Arms Detachment of Chaos Daemons alongside 1 Combined Arms Detachment of Grey Knights.
Imagine it... hordes of competent Grey Knight psykers (and their psychic vehicles) fueling your Warp Charges while your Pink Horrors sit in the back casting summons.
It's like getting your cake and eating it too. Only you're summoning your cake while still blasting the enemy into smithereens.
