The Eye of Terror

So, I've just finished reading Prince of Crows and its got me thinking; what happened to him? I know in the Night Lords Trilogy he was said to be dead while Mercution believes him alive and that in other fluff it simply says that he was 'killed during the Horus heresy' but I've had my own idea:

What if he is alive and, along with maybe Alastor Rushal and the others captured aboard the invincible reason, is actually still alive, hidden deep in the rock (the DA could have anything in there!) if they keep luther alive then there's no reason why Sevatar isn't dead.

what do you guys think? could it work?

Eating Michael Douglas to know what its like to get some action from Catherine Zeta Jones probably wouldn't work
