Hello there!

Now that i'm done reading the new edition, i figured i'd look into getting my CSM army going again, although this time not with papa nurgle but with my second favourite - Tzeentch.
This list is going to be played casually with friends & at local club, no tourneys (and i should also say im quite a rusty player atm).

I decided to stick with Battle-forged, mostly because im already running out of space just running the CSM stuff that i want, so saw no point losing the bonuses.

HQ: Ahriman
-HQ total: 230
Troops: Thousand sons with 4 extra sons = 242 (count as troops due to Ahriman)
Troops: Thousand sons with 4 extra sons = 242 (count as troops due to Ahriman)
-Troops total: 484
Fast attack: Talons with 5 extra talons and 2 mutation gifts on champion, and VotLW on champion = 333
Fast attack: Heldrake = 170
-Fast attack total: 503
Elites: Hellbrute with TL Lasgun and missile launcher = 140
-Elites total: 140
Heavy: 2x 1 obliterator squads = 140
-Heavy total: 140

Army total: 1497

Explanations:

This is meant to be a pure fluffy army, full on tzeentch flavor. Of course, Ahriman and 1k sons squads are a must.
Next, the Heldrake is just something i never got to use before for various reasons, plus it can be converted interestingly, so i want to use it kinda (not too attached, but i want it)
Talons just look bloody awesome, and i want to use them more because of their models than anything else. Would have loved to use Raptors too, but no points space left, sadly.
Helbrute - because i saw a great looking FW 1k sons dread model and thought it would fit right in. Plus i really need some vehicle killer.
Obliterators = because what else could i get for remaining 140 points, eh? :p

Ahriman should be quite happy with his triple-same-Witchfire ability thanks to the faq.

Looks ok.. but I really like Melta Bombs on the TS units. MIGHT consider dropping the helbrute to add 2x Rhinos for TS.

Personally im just a bit too tired of transports, so tried to stay away from Rhinos if at all possible.

Meltas are a possibility, hmmm

I can empathize for your disinterest in transports for Thousand Sons. Without the "Wind of Chaos drive-by" of 3rd edition, that's a lot of firepower that sits in tanks, though it is handy to get away from combats quickly when needed... of course the Rhino has to survive... if anything, I would use the Rhinos as a screen to deny LOS and advance alongside the troops. If you wanted to spend the extra points (being casual) you could take Dirge Casters and Havoc Launchers to add additional firepower to the Rhinos driving at combat speed, and allow your Thousand Sons to avoid Overwatch if you opt to take the charging bonus away from your opponent.

Your Helbrute was adjusted in cost according to the FAQ.
