So here's what I've been doing and I'm curious as to whether or not it is legal.

Eldar Farseers have access to malefic daemonology.

Farseers also have ghost helms, which allow them to expend a warp charge to get rid of perils.

With these in mind I've been using malefic daemonology to summon some daemons using 6D6 (to make sure I get it off). I pretty much always peril, but use one of my warp charge points in the pool to get rid of the perils. Coupled with the spirit stone of anath'lan it only costs 2 charges. So I'm pretty much guaranteed to get the summoning off, without periling, for potentially low amounts of warp charges.

My question is, this is legal right? This is how you use ghost helms now?

Unknown. HIWPI, yes.

RAW is kinda sketchy until GW finally releases FAQs.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Do you still have to roll a 4+ on your Warp Charge to utilize the Helm? Or do you just remove one from your Charge pool?

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.
