So, I don't have the book yet, but if it's true that ICs can join single-model units like Mephiston, that means you could join any amount of ICs to the MotLG Autarch or Farseer and benefit from Stealth, Shrouded and Hit and Run. I'm thinking a dual Autarch combo, each with a Jetbike, a Fusion Gun and Laser Lance.

What do you think?

Sadly I can't really think of anything much better/worse than a pair of Autarchs on Jetbikes, maybe with a Farseer for Guide/Fortune/Doom... or Malefic summoning.

You could add in the Baron for bonus trolling, but that also limits your mobility (no turbo boosting or assault phase bonus movement).

So, basically, they fixed a dick-move of joining a buffmander to a riptide while opened an opportunity to another dick-move of joining IC to a laughtarch.

What IS a laughtarch?

And why is he an issue?

does this mean you could join Mephiston and Draigo together? hopefully get iron arm, and the +1 invulnerable save, for a Str 9 / T 9 unit with a 2+ invulnerable save (for a lot of points!)

It is an Autarch with the wargear "Mantle of the Laughing God". It gives a metric ton of buffs as mentioned above which would normally spread to the Autarch's unit. However the Mantle causes him to lose the "Independent Character" rule and thus in 6th he could not join a unit and as a unit of one, ICs could not join him.

This has apparently changed in 7th edition.

Not that it's a good use of points, but you could use the combined arms detachment to two more autarchs to it.

OR I could use Unbound lists to create an army of 10 Farseers all with Stealth, Shrouded and Hit and Run and be safe while I summon my Daemon horde.

Ive been thinking of doing the same thing, but with 2 farseers. (so 2 ataurchs, 2 far seers)

farseer, mantle, jet bike 155
Farseer, jetbike, spirit stone of analathen 130
autarch, jetbike, power lance 100
autarch, jetbike, power lance 100

Farseers roll on sanctic for hammer hand, and the +1 to invul, exepct for one roll which goes into malefic for summoning.

Those farseers should definitely be rolling for invisibility. Nothing goes along with a rerollable 2+ cover save like immunity to template weapons.

This is just crazy, So I can just put my second jetseer, in with my mantleseer? interesting.
