Subject: 2000pt Ultramarines/Knights/Inquisition - Bound Army
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor - Liber Heresius, Psyker, Force Sword, Bolt Pistol, Power Armour, 3 Servo Skulls
Knight Detachment:
Knight Paladin
Total: 1997pts
So, I have a total of 6 baseline Warp Charge (woo?). For my powers, I was thinking of having both Coteaz and the Ordo Xenos Inquisitor rolling on Divination, giving me three rolls there and both of them getting Prescience from Focus. Tigurius, on the other hand, would be rolling on Telepathy until he hit Invisibility, and then Telekinesis to attempt to get Levitation, to give the Grav Centurions some much needed extra movement, especially on the first turn. Not getting Shriek from Psychic Focus isn't that big a deal - the Grav Centurions should be doing enough damage that the added Shriek rolls should be a relative non issue.
Ideally, I'd hit Ignore Cover on one of the three rolls on Divination, and perhaps even the 4++ for the unit. However, with a maximum of 12 Warp Charges, getting off powers is going to be a tough go of it; I'm currently planning on having Tigurius be the warlord to give myself a guaranteed Prescience on a turn where it really needs to happen. Another thought was making the Ordo Xenos the Warlord to try for the extra Orbital Bombardment, or the Chapter Master and go on Strategic for Outflank for my Centurions.
Coteaz is there to provide some Deep Strike protection, as well as two more warp charges and three more powers. He'd also be a good choice for a duelist when going against things S5 or lower, as his three wounds and Artificer Armour combined with his Daemonhammer means he'll be able to deal some damage (provided whatever he's fighting won't ID him, of course.)
As for the Paladin, it's a tough call for me between it and the Errant variety; the Errant would provide me with some longish ranged anti-tank options (especially with the heartseizing possibility of facing an armored company...), but the battlecannon will be much better for dealing with hordes of enemy units and light vehicles. Of course, the Heavy Stubber would fire at what I intend to charge, unless there's a squadron of tanks that need to be introduced to the Reaper Chainsword.
This was the other list I was thinking of, sans the Knight (for comparison purposes of where else my mind was going):
Spoiler:
Ultramarines Primary Detachment:
Chapter Master - Artificer Armor, Bike, Melta Bomb, Shield Eternal, Power Fist
Tigurius - Warlord?
Command Squad - 5x Meltaguns, 5x Melta Bombs, Drop Pod
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor - Liber Heresius, Psyker, Force Sword, Bolt Pistol, Power Armour, 3 Servo Skulls, Rad + Psychotroke Grenades, Ulumeanthi Plasma Syphon
-1997pts
Thanks for any feedback you may have!
