So I was looking into Deadzone and from what I've been reading is that it has some rules issues that work against it.

What are some of your opinions? Does the game flow well despite it's 1st edition rule issues?

I'm not aware of any 1st edition rules issues that haven't already been FAQ'ed.

The only real issue with the game as it stands is Rebs underpowered, Marauders overpowered.

Sure, here it is:

http://quirkworthy.com/2013/11/07/living-faq-deadzone/

It is frequently updated and the last update was last week.

Don't pay too much attention to internet rants if they're old (stuff might have been fixed since then), or it looks like the person isn't currently playing the game.

My notice is not so much the factions that are good/bad, but the models in them. Snipers are fantastic, and nobody can spam snipers like the gobbos. Sure, they aren't amazing shots, but you get a lotta dice. That's the list I want: a boss with good leadership and as many snipers as I can cram in. I'm a jerk.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I've played a lot, and there are no rules issues.

There are some minor balance issues between the factions, but no more than any other game.

It's actually surprisingly issue free for a game that's only a few months old.

The FAQ answers all the "issues" I had.

I wouldn't say there are any rules issues either. T'is an awesome game

The game has a fantastic set of rules are very rarely am I left confused on what to do in any given situation. The FAQ helps out when I do reach those points.

The balance in the game is...okay? Marauders, Enforcers, and Plague are all about the same level. Rebs on the other hand are...well bellow everyone else. I play Rebs as my mains but it is almost impossible to win a lot of the games. Their missions are just brutal and they have by far the worst command units. Even still, I love playing them because the game is fun to play and I can get close to winning with them and to me that is a victory.
