Would Army Painter's Necrotic Flesh be too bright to use as base coat for late war German Herr uniforms? I plan on dipping, so will get a little darker from that. No highlights.

Any other Army Painter color (or other brand's colored primer) to get a good gray-green?

How about The Plastic Soldier Infantry Sprays: German Field Grey? I'm guessing that is for late war uniforms?

I was also thinking of Rust-oluem's Camo Spray Paint - Deep Forest Green, but I think it may be too dark once dipped.

Thanks,

Mez

Late War heer uniforms ran a gamut of colors form the grey-green to tan. This is a result of worn uniforms being recycled for their materials.

Pretty much any color in that range can be used.

Warlord and plastic soldier company both do a field grey spray for German uniforms. Not tried either I'm afraid but have used PSCs spray for German and British armour and found them to be excellent.
