Did I miss something in the FAQ, or did the Purgation squad lose Astral Aim?

They did. Means the only different from Strike Squads are:

Pay different points for weapons.
Can take more weapons.
Aren't Objective Secured.
Can't Deepstrike.
Can take Teleport Homer.

Think we are making the wrong comparison here. Should be why take purgation over purifiers who are now superior in almost every way.

D'oh, sad panda. I really liked me some 4-Psycannon Astral Aim. Oh well.

Are we sure they lost it? I don't have my codex I am at work. It was a psychic power and now special ability? That hurts they were one of my favorite units. There was no need for this. I hate you sometimes GW!

Yeah, all the folks that were excited about The Aegis being useful haven't made much complaint about this yet, which baffles me. The individual flavor of each unit has been greatly reduced.

'Nids uber alles. And GK I guess . . . them too.

I've been too busy seething about loss of Warp Quake. I don't field Purgation squads and just never used Holocaust with my paladins.

Oh and vehicles lost Endurance.

Purifiers are the only ones that have retained their flavor and abilities through this FAQ

Yeah, all in all, I've definitely got mixed feelings about the changes to the GK. I really liked the powers that were available to the specific units, like Warp Quake and Astral Aim. On the other hand, I like that the other psychic disciplines are now available to more units in our codex. Time and a few games will tell whether I'm truly happy with it, lol.

I fielded 3 purgation squads with psycannons and inquisitors to provide prescience. Those models go on the shelf for the forseeable future. I hope a Grey Knights book is in the works, but it sounds like its quite a distance off (coming after Orks, BA, DE, and possibly SW).
