Subject: details, and shaky hands

Basically I love painting the models, assembling them and so on, but I have a really hard time painting any smaller details because my hands shake so much, I have had numerous comments about how my models faces look weird, or how the painting isn't neat and as a result I buy a lot of models second hand and painted.
So has anyone got any tips for painting small details when your hands shake?

Site very low in your chair and place the side of both hands on the desktop to stabilise them, this will stop them shaking. Also stick the miniature to an old pot of paint or a cork, this will give you more surface to grip and help stop the shakes.
Sometimes when I'm hungry and can't be bothered to get up, I shake quite bad using the above techniques means I can paint till I pass out almost

Thin your paint for detail, so the brush doesn't jam on details. Support your arms on the desk. Go slow and keep your brushestrokes in the same direction.
More than anything, though, it will come with practice.

Utilizing Careful Highlighting

That has been my problem in the past as well. There are a lot of factors that would make your hands shake, including but not limited to:
1) Caffeine and sugar intake. Lessen your intake and you will see a significant change with regards to handshaking.
2) Tiredness. When you're well-rested your hands shake less.
How you handle the brush and model is also very important. When I paint I press my wrists together (one hand holding the model and the other holding the brush) and rest my elbows on the desk. This provides me a very stable platform. I also paint small details as I exhale.

If you shake while painting I guess you can drybrush like a madman.
Seriously, I have the same problem from nerve damage. The way I work around it is to put the sides of both hands on my table and make sure they touch each other as well. I also agree that you should be rested and not on anything that could cause you to shake. Caffeine, cocaine(jk), .... etc. Breathing slowly will help too. And practice doesn't always make perfect but it does help a ton.
Good luck.

Slow, n just make sure the model/sprue is based on the table, then at least one thing is stable and not moving can help.
I'm not good hiokding it but if its secured to somthing stable kit helps me quite a bit,,
