Alright, so I plan to get people in the local area that I am in into Nercomunda a bit, and wanted to teach them the basics of the game before getting them into a real campaign possibly. I want to make a couple of gangs close to what the starter set in, although not the same gangs. This means no heavies and Juves. Or would it be alright if I made gangs with both of those if the rules are not too much to worry about. The gangs I plan to use are Cawdor and Van Saar.

Again, thanks again in advance!

I think it's best to include jeavies and juves. A heavy is one of the more important models in the gang, and juves are the meatshields. I think new players should learn to play with each of the classes, and not just the gangers and leaders.

I say include them. There are only 4 classes, so it won't me that much work to teach them.

Alright, that seems like a fair assumption since it is not really too much. Originally did think of it of just showing the basics but I think this works just as well to show all of it if that is the case. Granted I still might make the gangs a bit more thematic to what they are, like making a Cawdor gang a bit more melee-based and Van Saar more ranged, but I think I can work with that.

Seems like a good plan. New players should get a feel to the different gangs, to decide what gang they'll want to play later.

Tell me how it went after the demo games
