Anyone come up with a new 7th edition build that can compete with the new Deamon Factory build, or even the new Physic GK or Eldar?
Can't seem to think of anything that would really work effectively...

Have the following to work with:

1x Flyrant w/Stranglethorn Cannon
1x Tervigon
1x Trygon Prime
3x Carnifex's w/Crushing Claws
9x Ravener's (3 unassembled)
1x Exocine
36x Termigaunts
36x Homogaunts
20x Genestealers
9x Warriors (1 w/ Venom Cannon)
1x Hive Crone
1x Harpy (unassembled)
1x Exocine/Haruspex (unassembled)
1x Hive Tyrant (unassembled)
2x Boxes Gargoyles
3x Biovores
3x Venomthropes
1x Broodlord (Unassembled)
1x Red Terror (unassembled)
3x Ripper Swarm
3x Zoanthropes
3x Hive Guard (unassembled)
3x Tyrant Guard (unassembled) (new model)

Kinda wondering if I should shelve Tyranid till something changes and just start working on my smaller AM army.

To combat the WC spam lists, focus on taking out the Pink Horrors. Take all 3 Biovores and take as many fast units as you can to get to the horrors before they cast too much. Flyrants, Crones, Harpies are all good.

What about in tournaments when I can't change lists based on what I'm fighting, what's going to be my best bet as an all around army?

is the daemon factory list any good? honestly they have to roll to get the spell and then have to get the spell off all the while not accomplishing anyone else.... i play daemons and my GT winning list does not change a single thing from 6th edition..

Create a Greater daemon = new target for my opponents army while his ravenguard or white scars just scouted onto all the objectives.

I would take FMC and fly over to the pink horror units and beat em up. Also swarm up objectives, you're fearless most the time and have to be beaten off the objective now.,

the demon factory isn't an auto win list.

there's lots of hard counters for it, and there's alot to micro manage. its not forgiving either, one mess up in the psychic phase, could spell big problems.

the psychic phase isn't a very forgiving phase either. the amount of dice you have to throw to get the powers off will eat up your pool quickly, and increase the chances for perils. with 6 possible perils results, 2 can be somewhat saved with successful ld tests (and those are harder with SitW), one gives a buff, and the other three can spell disaster, i don't see tyranids having a huge problem with demons.

Biovores and Dakka Tyrants.

It looks like you can build both a Wrecker Node, and a Living Artillery. I'd build around the Living Artillery. Just put in enough Zoeys to counter/Deny and get into Shadow range, Shadow no longer prevents psychic powers going off, but it does make them riskier to use.

Heck, with the Nerf to Shadows, Deathleaper might see some play. With the ability to add "extra" HQs it could make sense to toss the ole BioNinja in ... ("Named" Psychers are a little less intimidating with -1D3 Leadership)

So if you can get a 4th Zoey, so you can run two doubled out Broods...or split it out for 4 solo Broods for maximum Warp charge, and Powers of the Hive Mind! ( You'll need 4 Troops to run 4 Elites, and two HQs (easy) ) That should make it easy to Deny like crazy.

Today I played against a demon army and did well. Since your Shadows makes all psychers -3 Ld demons get crushed if they lose combat. Also, you make perils a pain with that. We played Purge and this list I ran is as follows:

HQ
Tyranid Prime - Miasma Cannon, Warlord
Hive Tyrant, 2x Twin devs w/ brain leach, regeneration, wings

Troops
Termagant x30
Termagant x30
Tervigon -shreddershard
Tervigon-shreddershard

Elite
Hive Guard x3
Hive Guard x3
Venomthropex3

Heavy Support
Carnifex x2 - 2x Dev w/ brain leach
Exocrine

Flyrants are much harder to ground now so you can just sit them almost in the middle of your opponents troops and put shadow on all his psychers to really make their lives hell. Otherwise mass shots is the best way to do it, the problem with templates all over the place is if you run into an army with flyers then you can't shoot half your weapons at them.

Formations are starting to look like the way to go with needs. Use CADs for mass cheap solid scoring, Wrecker for your heavy assault as it is the best thing for hitting high AV, Living artillery for clearing troops and a little s7 AP2 AA plus restores pinning, Manufactorm Stealers for very early assault threats, sure they tend to die early, that means you get a full turn for the wrecker node to advance with out getting shot at.

Yeah, and you can use Nodes to build "mini" Deathstars.... A Veno, the Warrior Brood, with a screen of gaunts, and a Wrecker Node is a real threat.

In fact it's so dangerous that you have a decent chance of the rest of your force arriving unharmed.

Late entry: If you get "Master of Ambush" A Wecker Node, a Veno, and the Warrior Brood makes 3 units does it not? Plus a Warlord, and it's time to party!
