So, before I begin. I've been watching a lot of battle reports and looking at these "Deathstar" lists, and kinda came up with this Hybrid list and wonder if it could work.

Let's start by saying, if this list is viable, it won't make any friends. I also made this list without any of the codex in my hand. It's just using army builder and what I found online.

Without further ado, here is the list.... and yes I'm prepared for any hate it will catch.

So at least in my head tis is a really brutal, and mobile list. Both the Beaststar and the Seer Council have had lots of success and I wonder if brought together they can perform.
I also didn't realize it but with the huge footprint of this army and the new scoring, where any unit can score, I think this list is even better. The Beaststar can cover multiple objectives effectively denying points while the fast biker units and Venoms can score via "Objective Secured".

As always a list like this crumbles when facing down a list with tons and tons of firepower. I'm looking at you blob AM and/or Dark Eldar..



Anyways, I posted this list in fun and really want to hear what you guys have to say. Let me know if you think it can do well or if it will be terrible. Obviously this is meant for a competitive environment.

Well a few things to start,

a) farseer with MotLG cannot be part of the council (but you knew this?) and so he can get 1 shot by anything ignoring his cover.

b) none of your semi deathstars are fearless, why not a huge deal for the beasts, it is for the council.

c) you have no AA and your AT is all CC (except 1 shots from the WK)

I think for someone relying on scoring or gun lines you can do well, like rolling invisibility making 5/6 of their shooting useless and no templates, though if they bring a air force or , their own buffed council/deathstar yours will crumble.

Actually no, I didn't know about the MotLG. I built this purely off of Army Builder and online articles.

Ideas for giving them Fearless? Eldrad?

I'm aware of the no Anti-Flyer. I'm looking into that currently. Suggestions perhaps? The AT though, I'm less worried about. Getting into CC won't be big of a deal and I think I can h
andle "most" things with what I have.

Ok well if you want the farseer to be in the council drop MotLG and take shard of anaris instead, now he can join and gives the council fearless. And for the rest its simple, get into CC ASAP.

As almost a side note, maybe drop 1 warlock and give the WHOLE UNIT singing spears, that's 10 S9 shots, not bad AT or AA if prescienced.
