So i ended up trading for battle for skull pass set dwarf side and i was curious as what to add to it.

I'd like a battle line and two bolt throwers to go with it.

other than what i listed what do you all suggest i should get. main opponents are vc, skaven, ogres, dark elves, brets, high elves and soon to be wood elves

and i was also wondering about how many points is it.

If you do not know what bfsp has its the following:

Heroes
Thane
Hand weapon shield
Slayer

Core
Thunderers x10
Full Command
Warrirors x12
Full Command, hand weapons shields

Special
Miners x10
Full Command
Cannon

I was curious as to what basic points are for this as well. I have the previous army book so i can get a general idea but i was wondering what the current army book has to say. my guess is about 750.

any way kind regards as to answering my question.

First, you need to get the Dwarf Armybook. That needs to happen before anything else.

You didn't say how many points you're wanting to make your army, but I'll just operate on the assumption it's 2500.

The battleline box is an excellent start.

Since the new book, our magic defense has been toned down quite a bit. Never take the Anvil of Doom. At minimum you need to take 1 runesmith with a spellbreaker rune. the battleline comes with 1. Bring one more for more magic ruining fun.

The thane that came with skull pass should serve as your BSB. Just find a way to convert one up out of him. Put the rune of Valaya on the banner.

The battleline combined with your skull pass warriors will give you 22 warriors. 8 more (ebay) and you'll be good to go with a block of 30.

The longbeards are excellent because they keep the warriors from panicking and they're powerhouses in themselves. you'll have to decide on your own if you want to make them GW or sword and board (survivable vs killy). I would add another box after getting the battle line box for a unit of 20. For the purposes of this I'll just assume you give them shields.

The battleline box comes with 2 cannon kits. My advice would be to magnetize them so you can swap the bases out with organ gun and cannon guns. ORgan guns are good against heavily armored cav, cannon are good for MC and MI. For our purposes here, I'll just assume you build one of each since you already have a cannon from skull pass. Rune of Forging is a must on cannons. Rune of accuracy is a must on organ gun, give it rune of forging too while you're at it.

since you already have thunderders from skull pass, I would just make the kit from the battleline into thunderers. one unit of 10, one unit of 20. give them all shields.

Miners are ok. use them for backfield wizard/war machine hunting.

I would add a unit of 20 Ironbreakers with a rune of stoicism.

Gyrocopters are useful now, being a special choice and being dropped significantly in price, take 2.

all this I've given you should equal out to 2468 pts, leaving you 22 points to pick around with some more runes. Eventually, you'll want to get a Lord on Shieldbearers and turn him into an unstoppable machine of death and stick him with a unit of hammerers for additional lulz.
