If I have a Inquisitor w/ Liber Hereticus who is joined with a unit in a Land Raider that isnt that units dedicated transport, would they be able to Scout? Or can Scout only be conferred to a vehicle unit that is a dedicated Transport?

if you give the land raider scout, it can scout, however the squad inside cannot be inside it cause they dont have scout.


If you give the squad scout, they confer scout to their dedicated transport, but not to a LR purchased by itself.

Which is, of course, irrelevant. The vehicle is what is scouting. Nothing prevents the embarked unit from staying embarked.

it's in the rule book under scouts, quite clearly stating the way scout is conferred. dedicated transports only.
