I had an idea when talking to my friend the other day. Why CAN'T blast weapons snap shot? Yeah it reduces the "inaccuracy" of Snap shots, but there's a way or two around that I feel.
Allow snap shots with weapons, but the weapon always scatters the full 2d6. Even if you score a "Hit", it scatters in the direction of the arrow 2d6. I think it'd make sense thematically as Guardsman Bob has a bunch of orks rushing down on him. He's got a missile launcher on his shoulder and he just shoots it off, potentially at the ground blasting part of his squad to bits.
The situation in which it would be used most often would, I imagine, be over-watching and at that range, it would be TERRIBLY unlikely that the blast might scatter back onto the over-watching squad. It'd make it a bit of a gamble in some situations, but the pay-off could be quite profound. Granted, that with that sort of large scatter potential, it could be possible (and probably very likely) to scatter onto other squads. So it may be a good idea to add a clause that states something along the lines of "A Blast weapon which is snap-shot can only inflict wounds on the targeted squad or the unit firing the weapon."
What do you guys think?
