How or what do you do with Iron Warrior style helmet eyes ? I have no problem painting ordinary space marine eyes but the helmets present a difficult challenge

I`m on about helmets like this:

He is not quite finished yet but leave the eye slits black or go for a cylon type eye

The eye sockets on the above are actually quite large compared to some of the others

I have a similar problem ahead of me with Blood Angels

I am still going to do some test models, but I am going for green glowing eyes - like this -> http://taleofpainters.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/tutorial-how-to-paint-glowing-eyes.html

A very small version of that would by the cylon type - would look pretty slick

Thanks for the help kb. In the end eye didn't want a glowing eye so went back to basics.

Mephiston red and glaze medium(50/50) a sable brush and a steady hand. The watered down solution worked a treat and basically flows into the really tight helmets.

The original metal Warsmith model has an insanely small slit for his eyes in the helmet

I will post you up a pic once its dry
