The bases that came with the Deffkoptas are, quite frankly, gak. The top bit has already snapped off, leaving the plastic bit in the connector (The small hole on the bottom of the Deffkopta). Its from the AoBR set.

1. Make the mounting hole in the model larger.

(NONE of GW's plastics can be adequately supported by that 1 cubic mm of acetate. ).

I did this to ALL of my models that used them, they sit about 3mm lower now, but stay on the posts.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

That will work for future ones, but for these the tip of the base (The end of the part that connects the base to the model) has snapped off, and gotten permanently stuck inside the bottom of the mini.

Have you thought about magnatising between the bottom of the deffkopter and the top of the flight stand. Using a pin vice to make the hole in the deffcopter for the magnet to sit flush and then putting one on flight stand with a cone of green stuff to reinforce it, a 3mm should be big enough
