Not sure if this is posted in the right place, but it is definitely the most traffic'd forum atm.

Converting some Grey Knight Strike Squad and I think some Justicars into DA units. I have three dudes I think are holding psicannons but I am not positive on that, they may be incinerators. Either way I am sure that the bulk of them are holding storm bolters which would be a pain to convert into regular looking bolters.

Which leads me to want to either convert them into DA Command Squads as all the guys can convert their bolters into storm bolters or Company Veterans Squad as this would let me field 10 at once rather than just a squad of 5. (Still using FoC while me and friends learn all the rules and nuances of our armies.)

One rule question though, I'd rather not make a whole new thread, seems kinda spammish.

When a unit has a power weapon, it is basically whatever melee weapon they are holding, as far as my understanding anyway, but is there a restriction on which power weapon a unit can have? The Grey Knights I have seem to be holding halberds but they could be lances, either way, if I gave these to a regular space marine, are they restricted from using power weapon types at all?

Nothing more fun than tabling an opponent

It depends on the specific unit entry. Some units just take 'power weapons' in which case you can take any type of power weapon . Others specificy a particular type of power weapon.
