Eternal Warrior states that you are only reduced by 1 wound from an attack that inflicts instant death. Does this mean that if you take d6+6 wounds from 1 Strength D weapon and you are toughness < 6 with eternal warrior, you only take 1 wound? I certainly know that if that's the case, that's not how my house rules will be played, because that would make higher toughness eternal warriors weaker than lower ones... Just wondering what you guys think?

It doesn't, but Strength D counts as Strength 10 for instant death purposes, so Toughness 5 and below it's instant death, while toughness 6 and above it isn't. That's my point. Toughness 5 Eternal Warriors might be able to survive Strength D weapons when toughness 6 ones can't.

That's my point. If say Abaddon gets hit by a Strength D weapon, does he lose 1 wound or d6+6? (assuming a 6 to wound) Eternal Warrior states that he only loses 1 wound from instant death weapons. So since he has eternal warrior, and that's an instant death attack, does he only lose 1 wound?

instant death is not the same as multiple wounds.
instant death states that if the strength is double the toughness the model is removed as a casualty. eternal warrior ignores this.
so what would happen is abbadon would take D6+6 wounds, and all of them would cause instant death, which he would ignore and only suffer one wound for each of the D6+6 wounds he received. then he would still lose at least 7 wounds and die anyway.

Ok, thank you for clarifying that for me
