I'm working on my 1500 pt list. I already have a manticor, exterminator, punisher, vanquisher and demolisher on my list.
But I'm trying to decide if I should add another heavy....or throw in 3 sentinels (armored or unarmored and loadouts I'm still toying with as well).
3 sentinels and 2 wyverns run about the same point cost. Since this is going to be my all comers list. I can't decide what the better choice would be.

I posted the list in the army build section...but no one had any opinions. Basically
Pask in vanc, with a executioner at his side (auto cannon tank...not plasma one...name always throws me off)
3 vet squads in chimeras
Manticore
Demolisher and punisher
Ratlings for infiltrate and harassment
And either sentinels or wyverns.....can't decide.

And after your first Wyvern, add another.

Exterminator is the Autocannon Leman Russ.

It depends more on your meta. If you fight against hordes/infantry a lot, wyverns are a no-brainer. If you usually fight vehicles/scary big stuff (MC), sentinels could be a better bet

The artillary may scare any foot forces, even a death Star may not risk the fire of two directed at them.

The multi templates can be dangerous

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I'd go wyvren. it seems to me that your list is heavy on high str stuff but you lack much ability to deal with hoards.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

On moon miranda.

Wyverns are downright dirty, and will largely eclipse anything Sentinels will bring in value. That said, if you're trying to run a traditional FoC and don't want to squish everything, the sentinels may be the better option.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Hate to jump the bandwagon, but wyverns get my vote too.

It's all about the rerolls and wyvs have them in spades.

Also, sents have always been underwhelming for me.

I've been on the receiving end of the Wyvern and I agree, it is brutal; the amount of wounds it can stack on infantry is incredible, even power-armored bodies will suffer.

Wyverns are a good answer to things that deep strike and don't run to spread out... Like summoned demons or guys with melta that try to come at your Russes.

Remember when people thought that Thudd guns were the epitome of cheese ((they were of course, wrong)? And now GW rolls out with something that's arguably better in the main book?

Sentinels would bring some diversity to the game and would be great for friendly play but for competitive play go wyverns!!!
